The Hinman Turtleneck is named for the shearer who travels to farms throughout the region to shear the wool with which it is knit. The yarn has a lofty spin, so it's surprisingly light for its bulk, & lovely heather dyed colors. Cyrus took some extra time with this style in order to properly honor its namesake.

When you order this piece we knit & hand-finish it right here in our Vermont design studio using only 100% natural local wool. We purchase the yarn directly from the shearer, who chooses the best fiber from flocks around New England & upstate New York & has it gently processed into yarn in New Brunswick, Canada - retai ing traces of weather-proofing lanolin & slight signs of vegetation.
Hand wash in tepid water with a clear, gentle detergent. Rinse & wring out excess water then roll in a towel to extract more water & lay flat on a rack or dry towel.
The Hinman has a boxy, oversized silhouette - Molly is 5'6" & wearing a size Medium in Heather Fir Green, Deana is 5'3" & wearing a size Small in Midnight Blue, Priya is 5'7" & wearing size Medium in Heather Charcoal, & Hanna is 5'5" & wearing size Medium in Heather Fir Green while sailing. Ana is 5"4' & wearing a size Medium in Cobalt Blue. See Size Chart for measurements.
We knit pieces as they're ordered to prevent wasteful overstocking & our production process can take up to 3 weeks.
